BILGE PUMP SYSTEMS
Have you ever wanted to remove your current standard bilge pump to check it, and then given up because it was too hard?
Ours takes 4 seconds to remove.
Step 1. Look
Step 2. Grab
Step 3. Remove

-
Torrent pumps are designed for tight bilge areas. Their electric drive motor can be mounted above the water line, eliminating the number one cause of bilge pump failure- water damage of the drive motor.

-
The flexible drive shaft allows the pump head to be located in hard to access areas under engine sumps or down into low lying bilge areas, whilst the drive motor can be located in a convenient location on a bulkhead or under a gunwale.

-
Our 1500 and 2500 gallon per hour pump heads are secured into the bilge area using the RAILBLAZA mounting system. This ensures the pump head is always fixed in the right position ready to pump but allows you to remove it for quick inspection.

-
Torrent bilge pumps are designed so they are ready when you need them. Our special design macerating pump head smash’s and cut shells, scales, nylon and braid to minimise the change of blockage or impellor jam ups. Pumps are designed so that they can run dry without resulting in damage to seals or drive motors.

-
Use our solid and simple “bilge management control module” and bilge level sensors to monitor your vessel 24 hours a day, or alternatively our system is compatible with CZONE or similar vessel control systems.

Controller and Sensor

-
The sensor is a low voltage, non contact magnetic switch which is sealed. It has been designed for dirty areas such as bilges and black water tanks with large clearances so that it resists jamming open or closed. It also has the option of a stainless steel amour jacket to prevent it from impact damage.
-
The controller is water resistant and can run up to 2 pumps. It has input and outputs for level sensors, main power, alarms and manual activation. It also has a diagnostic and test port.
-
The unit has built in over current protection which auto resets to prevent any damage to the pumps

Software

-
The software is designed so that the bilge is always monitored so when required the appropriate pump is activated. It can also switch pumps and sensors if one is damaged or fails to detect water.
-
Delay timers in the software ensure that the pumps don’t start and stop because of bilge water movement, and they ensure the pumps keep running until all of the water has been removed.
-
If controller detects water is entering the vessel it will start all available pumps, once it sees the water start to reduce the software will drop out one of the pumps to save power.

All Pump units have a 3-year warranty on parts and workmanship. Pump wear parts and seals are replaceable so the pumps can last the life of the vessel.
